Cara Braden Bio

Cara began her service in children’s ministry in 2007. She has a passion for teaching and disciplining children and sharing the Word of God and love of God. Cara also serves as the Discipleship Coordinator and as a board member for the women’s discipleship.
Cara has been married to the love of her life, Chad for 13 years. Chad also has a heart for serving. He served in the National Guard and currently serves as Patrol Sergeant at the Giles County Sheriff’s Department. Chad serves alongside Cara in K-Town and is on the council board. They have two girls, Halle(15) and Gracie(13). They love the beach, playing sports, shooting guns and spending time together. Their life verse is Philippians 4:13, “We are confident that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength”, and “In all things work as though you are working for the Lord and not man”, Colossians 3:23, and Psalm 91, which they pray over their children.
Chad and Cara carry a burden for their community and in the summer of 2015, following the direction of God, began a van ministry for the community children. They were inspired by Luke 14:23, “go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.” Cara became children’s pastor in fall of 2012. Chad and Cara pursued the call of God on their lives and in the spring 2014 Cara received her exhorters certification following CAMS and in the fall of 2015 received her ordination in the Church of God following MIP. She currently is enrolled into Lee University to study Ministry Leadership with emphasis in Children’s Ministry.
She wants to inspire, encourage and equip families and children to become who God has created them to be, do what God has called them to do and love as God has called us to love.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
